Twin Oaks Airpark, Inc. (TOAI)
STUDENT AND LICENSED PILOT RENTER AGREEMENT AND PILOT INFORMATION

Revision 2.1

1. If not all ready checked out in the type of aircraft you are renting, all licensed pilots and students must be approved and pass a flight check with a TOAI Certified Flight Instructor (or designated TOAI staff ), in each type of TOAI aircraft they plan on renting. 60 day currency is required by TOAI.

2. Student pilots are limited to winds of less than 10 knots, with a crosswind component of 8 knots or less. Private pilots are limited to winds of 15 knots and the maximum crosswind component printed in the Pilot Operating Handbook of the aircraft they are flying.

3. All aircraft are rented by appointment  by contacting the TOAI office. If the renter fails to claim the aircraft within 20 minutes of the scheduled time, the airplane may be reassigned. (Renters may be charged a "no show" fee.) Please advise TOAI as soon as possible of any schedule changes.

4. All pilots must perform a complete preflight inspection prior to departure. NOTE: Cell phone usage is absolutely prohibited during the preflight inspection, as well as in the cockpit except in emergencies, or to get weather information or to file a flight plan.

5. Renters must confirm that the flight time sheet and the Hobbs meter in the airplane agree prior to engine start. Any discrepancy must be clarified before flight to avoid financial responsibility for "extra" Hobbs time.

6. Except in emergencies, or unless previous arrangements have been made with TOAI, pilots may land only at public airports with hard-surfaced runways.

7. When fuel or oil is purchased away from TOAI, pilots will be reimbursed at the present fuel price offered at TOAI, if they provide receipts showing gallon amounts, date and place of purchase. Items such as tiedown fees, landing fees, cleaning and other fees are the responsibility of the renter pilot. See operating manual for the brand and viscosity of oil required by the aircraft.

8. Overnight renters must maintain the security of the aircraft with a hangar or secure tiedowns.

9. All renters must secure the aircraft in an appropriate tiedown space and leave it in a clean condition for the next pilot. The Pitot tube cover must be securely installed when the aircraft is not in use.

10. If the aircraft is "abandoned" at any place other than TOAI, the renter may be charged for pilot and rental time to retrieve the aircraft and return it to TOAI. TOAI cannot guarantee a renter's travel schedule. Pilots who transfer to another mode of transportation due to weather or maintenance problems do so at their own expense.

11. The renter agrees not to tamper with, molest, or attempt repair on any item or accessory of the aircraft without calling TOAI for specific instructions.

12. The renter agrees not to use the airplane:
  - for any illegal purpose.
  - to carry people or property for hire or for any commercial purpose.
  - for flight instruction (other than with a TOAI approved instructor) .

13. All renters must comply at all times with all applicable FAA regulations, state law and the conditions of this agreement. This includes instructing passengers in proper safety procedures and ensuring compliance.

14. Smoking is not permitted in any TOAI aircraft or office space. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on board any TOAI aircraft.

15. Renters agree to inform TOAI as soon as practical following any accident or incident, major or minor. This includes a hard landing.

16.
Renters are financially responsible for the Aircraft.  Therefore we require that you have renter's insurance, with minimum hull coverage as follows: J-3 Cub & Cessna 150's $20,000 hull coverage. J-5 Cub $40,000 hull coverage. Cessna 172's $40,000 hull coverage. PA28-180 Cherokee $50,000. PA24-250 Comanche $75,000 hull coverage.

I acknowledge that I have read and understand the contents of this Agreement. I agree to be responsible for all charges or damages incurred, to have a renters insurance policy with minimum hull coverage as outlined above, to pay all reasonable collection fees, if any, including court and attorney's costs and to abide by the above rules.
